The Resorts - Special type of Hotels

Resort is a place which is used for relaxation or recreation, attracting visitors for holidays or vacations. Resorts includes places, towns or sometimes commercial establishments generally operated and managed by a single company. Such a self-contained resort attempts to provide for most of a vacationer's needs while remaining on the premises, such as food, drink, lodging, sports, entertainment, & shopping etc. At times the term "resort" few times is misused to identify as a hotel that does not provide the other amenities needed of a full resort. However, a hotel is most of the times a central theme of a resort, such as the Taj Hotel at Mumbai, India. Please keep in mind, a resort is not just a commercial establishment managed by a single company, although in the recent times this sort of facility became more common.

Types of resort

Destination Resort
Destination resort is a type of resort that includes, the necessary guest attraction capabilities—that is to say that a destination resort does not need to be near a destination (town, historic site, theme park, or other) to attract its public. Consequently, another characteristic of a destination resort is that offers food, lodging, sports, drink, entertainment, and shopping within the facility so that guests have no need to leave the facility throughout their stay. Commonly these facilities are of higher quality than what would be expected if one were expected to stay at a hotel or eat in a town's restaurants.

All-inclusive Resort

All-inclusive Resort is a type of resort that, apart from providing all of the common amenities of a resort, charges a fixed price that includes most or all items. Majority of inclusive resorts at a minimum includes lodging, unlimited food, drink, sports activities, and entertainment for the fixed price.
